Float glass is a type of flat glass produced through a process where molten glass is floated on a bath of molten metal (typically tin) to produce a uniform and consistent thickness, flatness and surface quality.

Possibility to temper

The glass undergoes several heating and cooling stages to create a permanent internal stress on the outer surfaces of the glass. This will make the glass stronger and will make it shatter in small pieces.
